Description
This 3-day safari takes you deep into the wild heart of the Republic of Congo. It is a mix of forest adventure, wildlife encounters, river experiences, and time spent in untouched nature.
During this journey, you will explore the Lesio-Louna Reserve and Lefini Wildlife Reserve, home to elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and gorillas. You will also spend nights in the forest, enjoy campfires under the stars, and experience life far away from cities.
This Republic of Congo safari is designed for travelers who want a real Congo wildlife safari experience, with close contact with nature and local landscapes. It is one of the most special African safari tours for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
After breakfast, you will leave for a scenic drive of around 5 hours towards the Ngo district.
Along the way, there will be stops for photos and small local experiences.
On arrival, you will check in at Lefini Camp and start a guided walk inside the reserve. During the walk, you may see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife in their natural environment.
Later, you will visit a natural clearing and enjoy swimming in the Nambouli River.
In the evening, you will relax around a campfire under the open sky and spend the night at Lefini Camp in tents or a simple forest camp.
After an early breakfast, you will continue deeper into the reserve for a final wildlife tracking experience at the elephant clearing. Then, you will travel to the Abio Sanctuary located inside the Lesio-Louna Gorilla Nature Reserve, where you will meet a semi-free silverback gorilla in a protected environment.
You will also see other gorillas, including orphaned ones being cared for and prepared for life in the wild.
The day continues with time to explore the forest landscapes and observe more wildlife in the reserve.
In the evening, you will stay in a traditional shelter and enjoy a calm night under the stars.
After breakfast, you will then continue exploring the reserve area.
You will travel through the traditional village of Mâ and reach the Iboubikro site. Here, you will stop at Blue Lake, one of the peaceful places known for its clear water and beautiful views. You can enjoy a picnic, swim, and take in the scenery from the Mont Blanc viewpoint.
Later in the day, you will return to Brazzaville.
