This journey takes you across the Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Central African Republic. You will cross the Congo River and Sangha River, travel through forests, visit remote villages, meet local communities, and experience some of the most untouched wildlife areas in Central Africa.
It is a mix of nature, culture, river travel, and wildlife experiences. You will see bonobos in the wild, gorillas in protected forests, elephants in open clearings, and also meet Ba’Aka forest people and Téké communities.
This Central Africa safari is designed for travelers who want a true wildlife safari Africa experience combined with real local culture and remote travel.

Summary of Itinerary
On arrival in Brazzaville, our team will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, you may also explore the city, take photos, and enjoy a short welcome tour. If time allows, a Sapeurs show can also be arranged for a colorful local welcome experience.
Overnight stay in Brazzaville.
After breakfast, you will start your journey towards Gamboma and Mpouya, then continue towards the Democratic Republic of Congo side.
You will cross the Congo River by boat and continue by road to reach Nkala Forest camp.
This is a long travel day with road and river crossings, giving you a real feel of Central Africa travel.
Dinner and overnight in Nkala camp.
You will have an early morning bonobo trek and you will walk through the jungle and try to observe bonobos in their natural habitat.
After returning for lunch, you will visit the village and meet the Téké people to learn about their daily life and culture.
In the evening, you will finish your day with a forest walk and a traditional local performance (Ekoul Balow folklore show).
Dinner and overnight in Nkala camp.
Early morning, return by road and boat back towards Tshumbiri and cross the Congo River again to Mpouya. From there, continue by road to Gamboma.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mombo Beach.
After breakfast, travel by road from Brazzaville to Ouesso. It is a long journey with stops for rest and lunch along the way.
Arrival in Ouesso in the evening.

After breakfast, complete border formalities and then you’ll continue by boat towards Bayanga in the Central African Republic.
You will cross rivers and pass border control points before reaching Bayanga.
Dinner and overnight at Doli Lodge.
Today you will go into the forest for gorilla trekking in Baï Hokou area. You may see gorilla groups in their natural environment while walking through the forest.
Return to the lodge in the evening.

Check out the Dzanga Baï area, which is known for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife in open forest clearings.
You can also visit Ba’Aka tribal village in the evening to enjoy traditional dance and music performance.

In the morning, take part in forest activities with Ba’Aka people, including traditional forest knowledge and medicinal plants.
In the afternoon, enjoy canoe ride on the Sangha River and see sunset views over the water.

After breakfast, return by boat to Ouesso.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Long road journey back to Brazzaville with a stop at the Equator monument in Makoua.
Arrival in Brazzaville in the evening.
Overnight stay in hotel.
Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Congo River. Visit Mbamou Island, meet fishermen, see riverside villages, and enjoy views of cliffs and the river landscape.
Return to Brazzaville in the evening.
This will be your last day and you’ll get transferred to the airport for your international flight.
