DESCRIPTION

Gabon is one of the most forest-covered countries in Africa, with around 87% of its land made up of tropical rainforest. This makes it one of the most important natural regions on the continent, often described as the “second lung of the planet”.

The country is known for its rich wildlife, including lowland gorillas, chimpanzees, and forest elephants living deep inside its rainforests. Along the Atlantic coast, Gabon also protects large marine ecosystems where humpback whales and leatherback turtles can be seen.

This journey offers a mix of rainforest, river landscapes, wildlife encounters, and cultural experiences. It is one of the more authentic Gabon safari tours, designed for travellers looking to experience nature in its raw form as part of wider African safari tours.

You will also have the chance to spend time with local communities and experience traditional practices, including a Bwiti Dissoumba night, which reflects the cultural heritage of the region.
